When Oyster Meet Me...
Walking across the street in Bordeaux recently, rare passerby there were, more quiet than usual. During the holiday season, it is traditional to spend on the beach. Island, beach, sunshine would undoubtedly be it .Spending long, lazy days on the beach is the most enjoyment. And located only about an hour drive time from the charming city of Bordeaux, the Arcachon Bay is the perfect place to take a vacation, and to feast on lots of fabulous oysters and other seafood absolutely.
I was grew up in the seaside city, it is stand to reason like to eat seafood but not oyster only . But I love wine, there is no reason to miss drinking the white wine to pairing with oysters during the summer time.
A friend of mine told me that we going to a seafood restaurant highly recommended where located in Bassin d’Arcachon—La Cabane de L’aiguillon. What surprised me that it looks like a shack, but lovely area overseeing the sea for the sun worshippers and an equally nice terrace area under the shade of vine leaves and bunch of grapes
“The oyster region of Arcachon reaches from the estuary of the Gironde River south to the big Arcachon Bay. It’s here that a large part of France’s 130,000-ton oysters harvest is produced. And the Arcachon Bassin produced the wild oysters with non-pollution water.‘ the shop man explained
The menu simply lists different kinds of oysters and their prices and other seafood: shrimps, whelks, and clams! A small house even no kitchen for cooking there were. The prompt service and kindly people around.
Each oyster has its own individual flavor, the Atlantic oysters, they originate directly from oysters have a typical ocean flavor, which many oyster lovers simply love. The oysters much more refined and delicate taste and texture than the oysters from Normandy of France I’ve tasted before. Rich in minerals and vitamins .
Eating the oysters with lemon can dilute the smell of seafood, at the same time more fresh on the palate. I prefer to suck the whole oyster into the mouth rapidly, stop for a second to feel the fresh and flesh. And then chewing with the chilled white wine , all aromas fill of the whole palate!
An ideal occasion to enjoy oysters and a most enjoyable destination where I can sample fresh oysters in a friendly atmosphere.
